Optimal Pork Production S.L. (OPPgroup) company of services of integral advising to exploitations of porcine production, implantation and creation of new technologies, as well as of turnkey projects of technical farms PPlus, and the IRTA, the Institute of Investigation and Technology Agroalimentarias of the Generalitat of Catalonia , have signed an agreement to collaborate jointly in different aspects of research in the pig sector. In this sense, the general director of IRTA, Josep Usall, and the director of OPPgroup, Joan Sanmartín, have put the heading to this agreement that wants to enhance the capacities of both, joining efforts in the field of the swine R + D + i .

For OPPgroup, IRTA becomes, from this agreement, our reference scientific entity, says Joan Sanmartín, and for IRTA, OPPgroup is one of the strategic companies to promote research and innovation projects in the pork sector, points out the general director of the IRTA, Josep Usall.

This agreement takes advantage of the capabilities of OPPgroup in matters of technical advice and in the implementation and creation of new technologies in the pig sector, with the scientific-technical capabilities of IRTA. This will allow the development of multi-thematic synergies that will go from training, smart farming or information management, through nutrition, animal welfare, the environment or animal health.
